Pink Project was founded in 1994 with the purpose to play Pink Floyd's 'The Wall' with the intensity and emotion like the original Wall shows in, for example, Earl's Court in London. One of the founders and die-hard Pink Floyd fan is Peter Chattelin. For years and years he studied the arrangements, lyrics and compositions of the Floyd-repertoire. From Pompei to Dark Side Of The Moon, from Meddle to The Wall and all the songs in between. He started Pink Project with the idea to revive the music, shows and atmosphere of the Floyd repertoire. The light, special effects, quadraphonic sound etc everything had to be reproduced as true to life as possible. This took Pink Project to special locations (Caprera, Ahoy, Omniversum, Tivoli, Luxor) and it’s not yet going to stop. In the meantime Pink Project is a full-time business, continuously working and always renewing. The Pink Side project in 2006, in which a string quartet was added, is an example from it. The show with Dutch guitar legend Jan Akkerman on the Market Square of Delft in 1998, is an absolute milestone in the history of Pink Project. The mutual love for the Floyd repertoire and their ambition is Pink Project’s driving force!
