David GogoDavid Gogo has had a guitar in his hands since the age of five and has been a profession musician since the age of sixteen. In 2004 he received the CBC Saturday Night Blues, "Great Canadian Blues Award" for a lifetime contribution to the blues in Canada. He has performed with Little Feat, Johnny Winter, Buddy Guy, Jimmie Vaughan, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, B.B. King, Otis Rush, Blues Traveler and George Thorogood. David has also opened for ZZ Top at the Ottawa Bluesfest, played the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival, the Moulin Blues Festival and has received extensive television exposure on the major television networks across Canada.  David was nominated for a 2007 Juno Award (Canadian equivalent of a Grammy Award) for “Blues Album of The Year”. He’s a two-time winner of the Maple Blues “Guitarist of the Year” Award(Canadian equivalent of a Handy). Internationally David has been featured on the “House of Blues Radio Hour”, where Dan Aykroyd hand picked a track as “Blues Breaker of The Week.” Just recently David was nominated for Favourite Blues Artist of the Year 2008 Indie Award. He is up against a fine list of co-nominees, as it should be with Canada's vibrant blues scene.The Indie Awards are an annual part of Canadian Music Week. This year CMW will be held in Toronto March 6th to 8th.
